Structure Fire on Guilford Road On Thursday, April 12, 2012, shortly after 1:00 am, the Dane County 9-1-1 center began receiving multiple calls from residents of 5576 Guilford Road, in the City of Fitchburg. Residents were reporting that flames and smoke were both visible. |

Motor Vehicle Accident - 2 Injured, Greenway Cross and Coho StFitchburg Engine 1, Car 1 and FitchRona Medic 44 responded to Greenway Cross Street and Coho Street on Monday, October 10, for a report of a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Fitchburg Car 1 found two vehicles in intersection blocking traffic. Upon the arrival of Engine 1 the intersection was closed off to traffic. FitchRona Medic 44 assessed two patients and requested a second ambulance. Both drivers were transported to local hospitals. |

Fitchburg Firefighters Assist Oregon Fire , One Firefighter InjuredFitchburg Engine 1 responded to Pinon Trail in the Town of Oregon, on Saturday October 8. Upon arrival at the scene E1 found a large volume of fire coming from the roof of the home. Engine 1 assisted Oregon Fire Department crews in extinguishing the fire. During the firefighting operations, one Fitchburg firefighter was injured from falling debris, and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance as a precaution, and was later released. |

Firefighters Assist Town of Madison at Structure FireFitchburg Fire Department Engine 1 (E1) responded with the Town of Madison Fire Department to Deer Valley Lane for a building fire. E1 arrived and was assigned to search and rescue in the building. E1 forced entry into the building and found no one in the building. E1 then was reassigned to ventilate the fire apartment by removing windows and setting up a positive pressure ventilation fan. Once ventilation was complete, E1 was released and returned. |

Firefighters Catch Fire In Time on King James Way; Another Fire Started by JuvenilesOn September 8, 2011 the Dane County 911 Center dispatched Fitchburg Fire to 2925 King James Way for a report of a structure fire. Fitchburg Car 22 was first on scene and found light smoke showing from the front entrance door. Car 22 took command and had Engine 1 (E1) entered the building for fire attack. E1 found two mattresses smoking and used a water extinguisher to extinguish the mattresses. |

Fitchburg Firefighter Respond to Fire in Verona at Super 8Fitchburg Engine 2 (E2) responded as automatic mutual aid with Verona fire units for smoke coming from a room at the Super 8 hotel. Upon E2's arrival they were first on scene and took command. Verona Engine 1 arrived just after E2's arrival and command was passed to Verona. There was nothing showing from the outside upon E2 arrival.

Fire Started by Juveniles; Firefighters Catch Fire In Time On Thurston LaneFitchburg Fire Department Engine 2 (E2) responded initially to a fire alarm sounding on August 31, 2011. While responding, a Fitchburg Police officer who arrived on scene prior to fire department units, was reporting light smoke in the basement storage area of 4533 Thurston Lane. When E2 and Car 1 (C1) arrived, E2 went in to investigate and found a light smoke in the area as indicated by the police officer. |

Fitchburg Firefighters assist Verona at a Structure Fire On Saturday, July 30 2011 responded as automatic aid with the Verona Fire Department to the 6300 block of Pheasant Lane for a structure fire. Upon Arrival, Fitchburg Engine 1 established a water supply for Verona Fire Department and assisted in fire extinguishing and overhaul operations. |

Juvenile Starts Fire on Post Road On July 5, 2011, at approximately at 1730, the Fitchburg Fire Department - along with the Town of Madison Fire Department - responded to an address on Post Road in Fitchburg for a possible structure fire. |

On July 13, 2011 the Fitchburg Fire Department with automatic aid responded to Sub Zero for a structure fire. Fitchburg Engine 2 was first to arrive on scene and met with staff of Sub Zero who indicated to them that the base unit welder filter machine was smoking. Engine 2 took initial command, however transferred it to Fitchburg Car 1 when they arrived on scene. Engine 2 crew entered the building went to the involved filter machine and removed the smoldering filter. L1 arrived and staged. The filter was extinguished outside and a secondary check of the machine found nothing. No one was injured during this fire. |

Fitchburg Assists Verona At A Structure Fire On June 3, 2011 Fitchburg Engine 2 was responded as automatic aid to Sugar River Road in the Town of Verona along with Verona Fire Department for the report of a fully engulfed barn fire. Further information revealed that the involved structure was actually in the process of demolition, however there was a nearby building exposure that was being threatened. Upon arrival at the scene the Verona Incident Commander assigned Fitchburg Engine 2 to perform fire attack on the involved structure. |

Smoking Cause of Structure Fire On Dungarvan Road On May 17, 2011 Fitchburg Engine 2 responded to investigate a report of smoke in the area. On April 20, 2011 at approximately 0550 hours, responded to Hwy MM and Hwy B for a head on crash. Upon arrival, Fitchburg Engine 1 found 2 vehicles in the roadway which were involved in a head on crash. Both drivers self extricated themselves from their vehicles. Car 1 arrived on location and command was transferred by Engine 1. Fitch-Rona EMS Paramedics arrived on location and requested a second ambulance (Oregon 68). |
