Recreation

The Fitchburg Recreation Department strives to provide quality recreation program opportunities for all Fitchburg residents. The Department has two full-time staff, various seasonal staff & program instructors, and countless volunteer coaches that provide recreational opportunities.

Lacrosse Clinics - FREE!

These FREE introductory clinics for boys & girls in 4th - 9th grades, will be led by coaches and players from the Westside Lacrosse Club.  The goal of these clinics is to build interest and excitement in the game of lacrosse.  Participants will work on the fundamentals of the game including; passing, catching, cradling, shooting, and defense.  Many skills learned in lacrosse crossover to other sports including; baseball, hockey, basketball and football.  All equipment will be provided. Summer Playground Programs

Gather some friends and join our Playground Leaders for some fun in the sun at either Wildwood South Prairie Park, Tower Hill Park, or Jamestown Park. Participants will enjoy group games, arts & crafts and sports. Click on a specific park location below for detailed information.

Half-Day Summer Camps

Each week campers will participate in a variety of activities that center around the particular theme for the week. Camp themes are listed below. Camp is held at McKee Farms Park from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Participants should meet at the shelter each day.
