The Economic Development Department is responsible for initiating activities designed to promote job growth, new investment, and economic growth in the City of Fitchburg. The Department promotes development by facilitating and encouraging existing firms to expand facilities and encourage new industries and businesses to locate in the City. The Economic Development is governed by the Fitchburg Community & Economic Development Authority (CEDA) which meets at 7:00 a.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Fitchburg City Hall, 5520 Lacy Road. CEDA is composed of two Council members serving two year terms and five citizen members serving four year terms.
