ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may request to vote by absentee ballot.  A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward of the municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election.  The elector must also be registered within the municipality in order to request an absentee ballot.

In-Person Absentee Voting (in the Clerk's Office)

Begins the 3rd Monday before Election Day and ends at 5:00 p.m. on the Friday preceding the election.

May 8, 2012 Recall Primary = starts April 23rd ends May 4th

June 5, 2012 Recall General Election = starts May 21st ends June 1st

August 14, 2012 Partisan Primary = starts July 30th end Aug. 10th

November 6, 2012 Presidential Election = starts Oct. 22nd end Nov. 2nd
